Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli on Saturday bid farewell to South Africa star batsman AB De Villiers after he announced a sudden retirement from all international cricket earlier this week.

Kohli and AB De Villiers play together for Bangalore franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, it is unclear, whether he will return or not for the next year's season.

Terming him his 'brother', Kohli took to his twitter handle to praise the class cricketer.

"Wish you all the best in everything that you do my brother. You've changed the way batting was seen in the time you've played international cricket. My best wishes to you and your family for this amazing journey ahead @ABdeVilliers17," Kohli tweeted.

De Villiers announced his decision on his Twitter handle, claiming to be 'tired and out of gas'.
