Watch: Willy Boly's controversial goal against Manchester City sparks VAR debate
Aymeric Laporte's 69th-minute header helped Manchester City to draw the match 1-1 against newly promoted Wolves on Saturday.
The reigning Premier League champions were forced to dig deep to rescue a point against stubborn Wolves.
For Wolverhampton Wanderers, Willy Boly scored within 15 minutes of the first half to gain an early advantage over City.
However, it was a day of mild controversy at Molineux as Boly's goal reportedly went in off his arm.

The goal sparked the debate over the introduction of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in the Premier League.
That was clearly handball & another incident to support the introduction of VAR in #PL #WOLMCI

Boly from the corner - with his hand.......(unintentional but definitiely his hand as he dived low)

It would be great if there was some way of telling the ref that Boly handballed that. Some clever use of technology perhaps.

Handball goal from Wolves. VAR would have sorted it.

The decision to not bring VAR into the PL this season is ridiculous...the game needs it...
Surely even those against VAR can see that in that instance a goal like that should not stand? What if it's last day of the season that happens and a team are relegated as a result. It can't be right. Yes they have 38 games to stay up but it don't make it right.

Many believe the goal should have been disallowed and would have been if VAR had been introduced.
The Premier League decided not to go ahead with video replays despite their introduction in the World Cup.
