Tottenham star Dele Alli punched and robbed at knifepoint at north London property

Tottenham star Dele Alli was robbed at knifepoint and was punched by the robbers after they broke into his house, early in the morning on Wednesday. 

According to the UK's Dailymail, the Tottenham player did not suffer a serious injury after the punch. 

According to the report, two men wearing balaclavas broke into Alli's north London property from the backside after midnight on Tuesday. Dele Alli was isolating with his childhood friend Harry Hickford. 

After a tussle between the player and the two robbers, Alli was struck by minor facial injury. The robbers stole various items including jewellery and watches. 

After the incident, Dele Alli took to Twitter to thank every one supported the player after a "horrible experience." He said: "Thank you for all the messages. Horrible experience but we're all okay now. Appreciate the support."

Alli's property had CCTV cameras installed and footage has been passed on to the police for investigation. 

According to a police spokesman: "Police were called at approximately 00:35hrs on Wednesday, 13 May to reports of a robbery at a residential address in Barnet."

"Two males gained entry to the property and stole items of jewellery, including watches, before fleeing."

"One male occupant of the property, aged in his 20s, suffered a minor facial injury after being assaulted. He did not require hospital treatment."

"No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue."

The Premier League is set to restart on June 12, which means the 24-year-old will begin training with his team from next week.
