Tottenham Hotspur communications chief blocks question on Mauricio Pochettino to Manchester United

Former United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been installed as caretaker manager by United until the end of the season to inject some life into what has been a fraught campaign. 

Tottenham Hotspur blocked a reporter's question to manager Mauricio Pochettino about Manchester United. 

Pochettino has been heavily linked to the United vacancy since Jose Mourinho was sacked on December 18. 

In a pre-match press conference for Spur's Premier League match at Everton, the club's head of communications, Simon Felstein intervened when a journalist tried to question the Pochettino. 

As per the British media, Spurs' Argentinian manager is considered as the favourite to take over at Old Trafford after Man United sacked Mourinho earlier in the week.

Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth repeatedly tried to raise the subject with Pochettino - who has also been linked in the past with Real Madrid - but the Tottenham head of communications, Simon Felstein, refused to allow the questions and said it was time to "move on".

The club parted company with Mourinho on Tuesday (December 18) with the club sixth in the Premier League, having made their worst start to a season for 28 years, culminating in a limp 3-1 loss to bitter rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
