Premier League: Four more players test positive for coronavirus

Premier League has announced that four more players across the clubs have been tested positive for coronavirus after conducting latest rounds of tests. As per rules, the identity of these people has not been disclosed.

These players and club staff members (who tested positive for coronavirus) have been asked to self-isolate for seven days.

Wednesday's announcement has brought the total coronavirus case-toll in the league to 12. The Premier League has conducted tests on 2,755 till now. 

Earlier, the  League had confirmed that six people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus out of 748 samples of players and club staff across the teams. 

The league is set to resume in the first week of June and they are planning to test all players and staff across the club before the game continues. 

As per the decision taken by Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s roadmap presented in the Parliament, cultural and sporting events will be allowed without fans in a bid to avoid large-scale social contact but the events will be broadcasted.
