No pre-departure press conference by Indian team ahead of West Indies tour

India's tour of West Indies is set to start from August 3 but Virat Kohli-led team will not address any pre-departure press conference reported news agency ANI quoting a BCCI source.  

The T20Is will open the tour in Florida, the ODIs are lined up from August 8 and the Tests will take place from August 22 to September 3. 

"There will be no pre-departure press conference by the Indian team leaving for the West Indies," a BCCI source told ANI. 

The source further added, "There is no window for a press conference ahead of the departure. We tried but it was not possible."

This is India's first assignment after the recently concluded Cricket World Cup in England and Wales, where India were knocked out of the tournament after losing to New Zealand in the semi-final. 

The current coaching staff, including head coach Ravi Shastri, was given a contract extension for the upcoming West Indies tour and India's home series against South Africa.
