Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer unsure 'if the players care' to play for the club

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looked frustrated after suffering an embarrassing 0-4 loss to Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday. He even said that the team need to apologise to their fans after a shocking performance. 

After the match, Solskjaer admitted that he "didn't know" if he could be confident that his players cared enough to want to play for the club. 

On being asked about whether players mind after their hopes of Champions League football next season suffered another huge blow, Solskjaer said, "You're not going to get the answer from me. Of course, if you want to play at this club, it has to mean more. I've said it as well."

He further added, "I want my team to be the hardest-working team in the league. That's what we were under Sir Alex (Ferguson). That's what we've always been." 

This is the sixth defeat in eight games in all competitions for manchester United that means they remain two points adrift of the top four in sixth. 

Solskjaer said, "Every single week, a shift up and down that pitch for your team-mates. We have to stick together as a team and we can't change the whole squad." 

"But it's got to be one step at a time and I've said all along, I'm going to be successful here and there are players there that won't be part of that successful team. But there players there that of course, many of these do have it," he added.
