Hyderabad have defeated Punjab by 45 runs. Chasing a target of 213 runs, R Ashwin-led team could manage to score only 166/8 in their 20 overs.

David Warner scored 81 which powered Hyderabad to mammoth 212 runs.

KL Rahul has been dismissed for 79 runs. The batsman was dismissed while trying to hit a shot.

Punjab are 145/5 after 17 overs. The team needs 68 runs in 18 balls to win this game. 

Though KL Rahul is still on crease and is playing on 74, the target is too high to achieve.   

What do Punjab fans have to say on this? Will KL Rahul chase down this target single-handedly?

Fifty comes up for KL Rahul. The opener is playing an applaudable inning but is failing to get a support from other batsman. 

After 14 overs, Punjab are 130/5. 

Punjab are in danger now as the side lost three quick wickets. First it was Pooran, followed by David Miller and finally R Ashwin.

Miller and Ashwin fell in the one over off Rashid Khan.   

Nicholas Pooran has been dismissed, credits to a brilliant catch by Bhuvneshwar Kumar before the boundary line. 

After 12 overs Punjab are 101 for the loss of three wickets.

10 overs have been bowled and Punjab are 81/2. The side is chasing 213 runs and need 132 runs in just 60 balls. 

KL Rahul is standing like a wall with Nicholas Pooran at the other end. 

Nine overs have been bowled and Punjab have lost another wicket. Mayank Agarwal falls for 27 runs off Rashid Khan.

A simple catch in the hands of Vijay Shankar and Punjab lost their second wicket. 

Five overs have been bowled and Punjab's score stand at 39 for the loss of one wicket.

KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal are on the crease and have to build up a partnership to chase the target of 213 runs. 

Punjab has lost Chris Gayle early as the side began their chase of mammoth 213 runs to win the clash.

Gayle departed for four runs off Khaleel Ahmed while trying to hit a six. A brilliant catch by Manish Pandey before the boundary line.

Hyderabad are 212 for the loss of six wickets after 20 overs. The team lost five wickets in quick succession after the Warner-Pandey 82-run partnership ended.

Skipper Kane Williamson dismissed to a brilliant catch by by Murugun Ashwin off Mohammed Shami.

Shami struck again to take wicket of Nabi, who departed for 20. 

Dominance has been removed by Punjab as the net run rate of Hyderabad has declined majorly.

After 17 overs Hyderabad's score is 169 for the loss of three wickets. 

Skipper Kane Williamson and Nabi are on crease and have to hit if want to put up a total of 200 for Punjab. 

R Ashwin strikes again to take his second wicket of the over and this time it's the big fish - David Warner.

Warner gave away his wicket to Ashwin while trying to hit a boundary. He fell for 81 runs in 56 balls which include seven boundaries and two sixes.

Pandey dismissed

Manish Pandey finally has to depart after a brilliant 82 runs partnership with opener David Warner.

Pandey was dismissed off Ashwin for 36 runs. 

Mohammad Nabi has come to crease. 

After 14 overs, Hyderabad are 147 runs for the loss of one wicket only.

David Warner is playing at 72 runs and is well supported by Pandey, who is playing at 31 runs.

Yet another beautiful half century from Warner. The opener has been in terrific form and has rose to the occasion in almost every game. 

Ashwin missed it!

What a catch it would have been. A fantastic fielding effort by Punjab skipper nut in vain as the ball slipped his hand and touched the ground.

After nine overs, Hyderabad are 97 for the loss of one wicket.

David Warner is inching close to another half century.

Murugan Ashwin strikes to break the Warner-Saha partnership. Saha departs for 28 runs.

Warner is still standing stall and Manish Pandey has come to support the Hyderabad opener.

Toss report!

Punjab skipper R Ashwin has won the toss and has opted to bowl against Hyderabad.

Speaking after the toss, Ashwin said, "Looks like a good deck, doesn't look it will change much. We're gonna bowl first."

Meanwhile, Hyderabad Skipper Kane Williamson said, "We would have bowled first as well. As Ash said, looks a good wicket that won't change much but can't do much now. He's been outstanding all season but as a batting unit collectively, we need to do well. As Ash said, it's business time of the season and we need to do well but also express ourselves. Three changes - Abhishek, Nabi and Sandeep come in

The mid-table tussle is such that as many as five teams are separated by a mere two points.
