England defeated New Zealand 2-0 in the first crossover of the Men's Hockey World Cup 2018 on Monday at Odisha's Kalinga Stadium.
England will meet Argentina in the first quarter-final which is scheduled to happen on December 12.

The Penalty Corner, which was earned by Sloan and Sanford, was denied.
But Luke Taylor scores from the rebound off the PC attempt to give his side a 2-0 lead.

The PC was brilliantly palmed away by New Zealand's goalkeeper.
There were very minimum circle penetrations in the first half of the match, England had six and New Zealand had just two.
To some extent, England dominated the game with 52 per cent ball possession.
England had two shots on target and New Zealand had two.
Both the teams got one penalty corner each.
England lead 1-0 in the match but the drama is not over yet.
Can New Zealand bounce back in the second-half of the game?
But in the first-half, England's goal was highlight of the game so far.
A perfect move, started by Sanford then Roper pushed it and Calnan timed it perfectly.
It's a goal!
A perfect, mid-air deflection by Calnan gives England a 1-0 lead over New Zealand.
Phil Roper pushes the ball and set a perfect chance at the goalmouth for Will Calnan... and he makes no mistake.
With a better past record, England are dominating the game.
England have a clean record again New Xealand, winning all three games played so far in the history.
