On the other hand, China's men's hockey team, which made its debut at the World Cup, are coming off from a horrible 0-11 defeat. It was inflicted by current world champions Australia in the last Pool game.
They started their tournament with a draw against England and even the second match against Ireland ended without any result.
China's best result in the sport to date is a silver medal finish at the 2006 Doha Asian Games.

So far in the tournament, France have won just one game which was against New Zealand, the second game against Spain ended in a draw and in their last Pool game, French team was outplayed by Argentina.
