On the other hand, China's men's hockey team, which made its debut at the World Cup, are coming off from a horrible 0-11 defeat. It was inflicted by current world champions Australia in the last Pool game.
They started their tournament with a draw against England and even the second match against Ireland ended without any result.
China's best result in the sport to date is a silver medal finish at the 2006 Doha Asian Games.
