Vichai, 60, died last week along with four others when his private helicopter crashed and burst into flames in Leicester's car park shortly after taking off following a match.

The Leicester City squad as well as members of staff on Sunday attended funeral rites in Bangkok for chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, whose death in a helicopter crash stunned the Premier League club.

Jamie Vardy, goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and club captain Wes Morgan were among the players who took a 12-hour flight to attend a prayer ceremony in a Bangkok temple.

The squad had waited to compete in a Premier League match against Cardiff City before flying to Thailand to pay their respects.

They won the match 1-0, the first game since his death.

The players are due back in Leicester on Tuesday to prepare for their home match against Burnley at the weekend.
