India won the toss and opted to bat in the second One-Day International match of a five-match series against New Zealand at the Bay Oval. 

After winning the toss, Indian skipper Virat Kohli said, "Looks like a good track to bat. It's about giving ourselves a different challenge. We need to execute our plans."

He added, "We played good cricket in the last few games, we are looking for a few areas to improve." 

On the other hand, New Zeland captain Kane Williamson looked convinced with Virat's decision as he said, "We were looking to bowl."

Williamson added, "There is some grass on the wicket. We have been playing good cricket."

For New Zealand, there are a couple of changes in the squad as spinner Ish Sodhi comes in for Mitchell Santner while Colin de Grandhomme has replaced Tim Southee.

While India will enter the stadium with an unchanged squad.
