The acting president of The Board of Control for Cricket in India C K Khanna hailed the 'strength of domestic cricket' for India's spectacular victory in the finals of Nidahas T20 tri-series against Bangladesh at the R Premadasa Stadium on Sunday.

He said, "What an amazing win. Shows the strength of our good domestic cricket. I congratulate everyone for this victory as it shows the hardwork done by every individual involved in BCCI."

He appreciated Dinesh Karthik for his efforts in the death overs that helped the team in achieving the set target of 166 runs, he said, "Dinesh Karthik played very well under pressure."

After Manish Pandey's wicket, India needed 34 runs with 2 overs remaining, it was looking next to impossible to win from there but then Dinesh Karthik came in and outplayed Bangladeshi bowlers.

Dinesh Karthik, the hero of Nidahas Trophy finale, has played only 19 T20 games in 11 years, blasted 29 runs off just 8 balls. For his splendid innings, he was honoured with the 'Man of the Match' award.
