The 2nd T20I between India and West Indies will be the first-ever international cricket match in the state capital.

The Uttar Pradesh government rechristened the Ekana International Cricket Stadium, where the second T20I between India and West Indies will take place, as Bharat Ratan Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium'.  

The three-time prime minister of India represented Lucknow in Parliament.

The 2nd T20I between India and West Indies will be the first-ever international cricket match in the state capital.

UP Governor Ram Naik has approved the government proposal to this effect. Orders were issued for the change of name by Principal Secretary (Housing) Nitin Ramesh Gokaran late on Monday.

Meanwhile, the visitors lost the first ODI by five wickets and will be aiming to save the series by winning today's game.
