IND vs NZ, 4th ODI: India's lowest ODI total came against Sri Lanka

Indian cricket team saved face in the fourth ODI against New Zealand after it managed to go past their lowest ever total of 54 runs.  

The 'Men in Blue' recorded their lowest ODI total ever against Sri Lanka on 29th October 2000 at Sharjah.

In this match, Sanath Jayasuriya's 189 helped Lanka post 299/5 on the board. In return, India were dismissed for just 54 runs where Sourav Ganguly, who was the skipper, managed just 3 runs while now batting legend Sachin Tendulkar contributed just 5. 

While playing their fourth ODI, India were 40 for the loss of seven wickets at a point and it seemed that the team might fail to scrape past their lowest ever total and register a new embarrassing figure.   

However, it was Hardik Pandya's 16 that helped India go past the 54 total. he slammed three boundaries in Trent Boult's over to give India and cricketing fans a sigh of relief.

Pandya, who was going strong, was dismissed by Boult, who clinched five wickets in his 10 overs.
