IND vs ENG, 3rd Test 2nd day: India restrict England to 161 as Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant dazzle
Hardik Pandya's five-wicket haul thrashed England's batting order in the first innings of the third Test as England were all out at 161 at Trent Bridge on Sunday.
It was Hardik Pandya's Test-best five for 28, his maiden five-wicket haul at this level, while debutant wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant held five catches as England lost all 10 of their wickets in a session of play.
For England, none of the batsmen were able to cross the mark of 40 as Jos Buttler (39) scored the highest runs for the team as England collapsed to 161 in reply to India's first-innings 329, a deficit of 168 runs.
At 129 for nine, England were still two runs shy of avoiding the follow-on, but Jos Buttler's fortunate leading edge off Mohammed Shami just over the head of Ajinkya Rahane at cover meant India would have to bat again.

On the second day, Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin carried forward India's overnight score of 307 for six.
Pant was looking good with the bat on the first day but after scoring 24 runs, he lost his wicket to Stuart Broad.
India lost the remaining four wickets for 22 runs in 19 ball as the team was bowled out for 329.
Currently, England lead this five-match series 2-0 but India have a bright chance to make a comeback.
