Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar with wife Anjali cast their votes in Mumbai

Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar with his wife Anjali Tendulkar cast their votes at a booth in Mumbai. Their son Arjun Tendulkar, a budding left-arm pacer, and daughter Sara voted for the first time. 

Before leaving for the polling booth, Sachin took to Twitter to announce it. He wrote, "As planned, I'm on my way. Any guesses where?"

After casting his vote, he tweeted, "Voting this year has been so much more special with Sara and Arjun voting for the first time."

He also requested the citizens of India to use their right to vote, he said, "I urge you all to go out and VOTE too!"

The Tendulkar family shared their picture of their inked index fingers with big bright smiles on the faces.  

Voting is underway in 71 constituencies for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha polls across Bihar, Odisha, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir.
