After the previous 2-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday, City are back to the top of the Premier League table.

Pep Guardiola said that Manchester City need to play 'like a machine' if they are to win a historic quadruple this season.

While interacting with the media, Guardiola said, "We aren't thinking too much about the title, it's what's next. What's next is Cardiff, prepare well and go like a machine to win, to play, and then try to win."

He added, "One day it might not happen and then accept the reality, so that is what it is. Mentally the people (players) are ready."

After the previous 2-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday, City are back to the top of the Premier League table.

Also, the seventh successive league victory keeps alive City's hopes an unprecedented quadruple of League Cup, Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League trophies this season.

City's boss Guardiola believes his players have the mental strength needed to achieve the quadruple bid.

"So mentally we are there. I think we are there, the players are not stupid. The fact we are living something so difficult to achieve - arriving the beginning of April to fight," said Guardiola.

"We have won two titles this season and fighting for the other three. So, they know the way we start to play, they show me they want to do it (win the quadruple)," he added.

Manchester City will face Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League quarter-finals, and Brighton and Hove Albion in the last four of the FA Cup.
