Ball-tampering row: Matt Renshaw added to Australia squad for final Test against South Africa
Follow Us'Queensland' opener Matt Renshaw will fly to Johannesburg on Tuesday night to join the Australian squad which is currently reeling under the backlash of the ball-tampering scandal.
The 21-year old, who was dropped ahead of the Ashes series in favour of Cameron Bancroft, will fly for the final test against South Africa.
Bancroft is one of two players charged by the ICC for altering the condition of the ball using a foreign substance.
He copped three demerit points and a 75 per cent match fee deduction.
Meanwhile, former Australian skipper Steve Smith, who stepped down from his post following the controversy, has been suspended by the ICC for the fourth Test and a 100 per cent match fee deduction has been imposed.
Further action is awaited from Cricket Australia with the board's CEO James Sutherland arriving in South Africa to assess the findings of an investigation conducted by Integrity officer Iain Roy.
Renshaw has been in tremendous touch after Christmas by posting three centuries in as many games to lead the Bulls into the Shield final.
