Australian journalist Freedman calls Gambhir 'verbal terrorist', Indians on social media hit back

Australian journalist Dennis Freedman was trolled on social media after he said Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir was a "verbal terrorist" over his views on India-Pak relations.

News agency ANI had quoted Team India's ex-opener saying: "Merely boycotting cricketing ties with Pakistan will not help. If a ban is imposed, it should be in all sectors, be it films, music or any other. Nobody from Pakistan should be provided an opportunity to perform in India unless the relations between the two neighbours improve."

Freedman attacked Gambhir saying "crap he said again about India/Pakistan relationship is dangerous".

"In the recent past we have initiated talks with Pakistan on many occasions but no substantial outcome has been achieved. Every country has its own level of patience and importance. First thing, of course, is to talk. But if that doesn't work, one has to take strict action," said Gambhir.

Interestingly, Dennis' status message on Twitter reads: "Virat Kohli sends me memes on Whatsapp." 

Indians on social media, however, decided to take on Freedman for his comments against Gambhir who recently stepped down as captain of Delhi's IPL team:

Gambhir had earlier got into a Twitter duel with Pakistan's Shahid Afridi over his comments on Kashmir.
