Asian games 2018: PV Sindhu loses to world no. 1 Tai Tzu Ying, wins silver
PV Sindhu of India scripted history after becoming the first Indian to win a silver in badminton at the 2018 Asian Games on Tuesday.
World number three Sindhu grabbed a historic individual medal after losing to world number one Tai Tzu-Ying.
India's gold medal hopes were shattered by Chinese Taipei's Tai Tzu Ying as she beat Sindhu easily 13-21, 16-21 in just 34 minutes.
India's Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore took to Twitter to wish India's star shuttler PV Sindhu. He said, "Our stellar shuttler has clinched India's FIRST EVER SILVER in Badminton at the #ASIANGAMES. A match that will go down the history of Indian Badminton. Hats off to you @Pvsindhu1."

Tai was in complete control from the beginning and dominated from the first set. She earned the first five points in a few minutes.
However, Sindhu tried to make a comeback but never got a chance to lead.
Having lost previous five encounters to Tai Tzu, Sindhu again faced difficulties to match up with her trademark sharp returns and pace.
Gold medalist Tzu was deceptive in her strokes and pulled away with a 17-10 lead.
The 23-year-old Sindhu lost too many points due to unforced errors as some of the shots sailed over the lines.
It was Sindhu's third defeat in a big final this year, having lost the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games title clash to Saina Nehwal and the World Championship summit clash to Spain's Carolina Marin.
