Asian Games 2018: Neeraj Chopra dedicates his gold medal to Atal Bihari Vajpayee
India's javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who clinched the gold medal at the ongoing 2018 Asian Games has dedicated his medal to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Vajpayee, who served as India's prime minister three times, died at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) hospital in Delhi following a prolonged illness on August 16.
Neeraj Chopra said, "I dedicate my medal to Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji who was a great man."

The 20-year-old made it to the top of the podium with a brilliant throw of 88.06m.
He also broke his own previous best of 87.43m and posted a national record during the game. He missed the Asian Games record by a meagre margin of 1.09m.
Reflecting on his victory, Chopra said he had prepared well for the event and was completely focused to get gold for the country.
