Army welcomes its rowers who won medals at 18th Asian Games
The Army welcomed Indian rowing contingent at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and lauded the rowers for making the nation proud.
The rowers clinched three medals, including a gold in quadruple scull at the 2018 Asian Games which is underway in Indonesia.
The players arrived at the airport today and received a warm welcome from the Army personnel.
An official said that the players later left for Pune, where they are being trained at the Army Rowing Node, which is located in the College of Military Engineering.

The gold medal-winning quartet included Subedar Sawarn Singh (Olympian - London Olympics 2012), Havildar Bhokanal Dattu (Olympian - Rio Olympics 2016), Havildar Om Prakash and Sapper Sukhmeet Singh, who won the quadruple sculls event. 
Naib Subedar Dushyant Chauhan won bronze in the lightweight men's single sculls event, while Sapper Bhagwan Singh and Sapper Rohit Kumar won bronze in the lightweight men's double sculls event.
