Story highlights

It has been learnt that the couple first met during the national camp at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Kolkata a few years ago.

India's top archers Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das are set to tie the knot in 2019 while the two will exchange the rings at Deepika’s home on the outskirts of Ranchi next week on December 10.

It has been learnt that the couple first met during the national camp at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Kolkata a few years ago and the two made it a point to keep their love for each other a secret.

Deepika defeated Rio Olympics silver medallist Lisa Unruh of Germany to win the bronze medal at the World Cup finals in Turkey in October.

Atanu, on the other hand, has been one of the prominent names in the circuit.

If reports are to be believed, then former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will also be a part of the marriage and will be personally invited by Deepika who considers Dhoni a 'brother'.

With the Olympics a year-and-a-half away, the two will now focus on the Tokyo Games, but before that, they are excited to start a new inning.
