New Zealand completed a clean sweep of the West Indies in their one-day series with a 66-run victory in the third and final match in Christchurch on Tuesday.

The rain-affected match was reduced to 23-overs-a-side. The West Indies were set a revised target of 166 in reply to New Zealand's 131.

The Windies slumped to 9-5 flirting with the lowest-ever score in an ODI before finishing 99-9.

The pace-spin duo Trent Boult and Mitchell Santner, bowled out a hapless West Indian line-up once again.

Santner took 3-15 from five overs and Boult had 3-18.

New Zealand elected to bat first, and were 83 for three after 19 overs when rain forced the players from the field. They added 48 in the four available overs after the resumption.

Ross Taylor ended unbeaten on 47 while Tom Latham made 37.

The Proteas will now be looking to inflict yet another whitewash in the T20I series, before their tour with Pakistan in January.
