Captain Virat Kohli hit sixer off the last ball as he scored a brilliant 72 off just 38 balls as India powered to 190/4 in the second T20 international against Australia at Bengaluru on Wednesday.
The Indian captain led from the front hitting Coulter-Nile for three sixes in the 16th over amassing 22 runs as India powered ahead with Dhoni giving able support to the captain. The Indian wicketkeeper hit 40 in just 23 balls to boost India's score.

Virat, meanwhile, continued the onslaught in the 19th over hitting Richardson for another six as the two Indian batsmen set about taking a toll on the Australians. The pair put on a 100-run partnership which came up in the last over as Cummins bowled a wide ball.
However, in the next ball Dhoni lost his cool and skyed the ball attempting to heave the ball over the boundary only to be caught by skipper Finch in the deep. Dhoni's 40 came with three boundaries and three sixes helping India to post a competitive target for the Aussies.
Kartick came in a played a cameo in the last five balls hitting 8 in 2 balls to provide a bit of fireworks in the end.
Earlier, after a brisk start, India lost opener Lokesh Rahul with the hosts on 61 as Coulter-Nile stuck in the eight over. KL Rahul scored 47(26 balls) studded with four sixes and three boundaries to give India a head start. Skipper Virat Kohli joined Dhawan at the crease with India on 70/1 in nine overs.
Dhawan fell soon after as Behrendorff stuck in the tenth over. The Indian opener managed just 14 off 24 balls.
The visitors went into the game with an unchanged squad, the hosts however, rested Rohit Sharma and brought in Shikhar Dhawan and Vijay Shankar to boost the batting line-up.
Australia chose to stick with four fast bowlers and leg-spinner Adam Zampa. India dropped Umesh Yadav and brought in Siddarth Kaul. Yadav faced the axe after giving away 14 runs in the final over as India lost by three wickets to Australia at Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
