Taliban insurgents kill 11 Afghan police officials in Helmand province: Reports

Checkpoints in Southern Helmand province were attacked by Taliban insurgents on Sunday, killing 11 Afghan police officials, media reports said. 

Afghan forces later repelled the attack in Lashkar Gah, the provincial capital - the insurgents were reported injured. Although the number has not yet been disclosed, media reports said. 

The attack was claimed by the Taliban who have been spreading all across in Helmand. 

It has been reported that these insurgents have been attacking the country, mainly the security forces, on a daily basis. 

Earlier, a suicide car bomber attacked foreign forces in the southern Kandahar province, killing a woman and injuring around five other civilians, reports said.
