Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina described her country's ties with India as ''organic'' at the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting.

Hasina is in China on a five-day visit for official talks with the Chinese leadership.

Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday addressed the WEF annual meeting and said that both India and Bangladesh can secure its peace and security through sustainable development and connectivity.

Hasina will hold bilateral talks with her Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang and meet President Xi Jinping during her visit.

On asked upon how she maintains relation with both India and China, Hasina said her government has tried to be balanced and objective in its foreign relations.

Bangladesh prime minister also said that her country does not entertain any military ambition as it against their values.

Meanwhile, on July 3, nine members of the main opposition party in Bangladesh were sentenced to death while 25 others handed life terms by a court for attempting to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina 25 years ago.

Hasina was also targeted in 2004, when attackers threw grenades at a rally in Dhaka, killing 24 people and wounding more than 500.
