Pakistan soars past 57,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases

Pakistan on Tuesday morning reported 1,356 new infections of the novel coronavirus, raising confirmed cases to 57,705.
In the same time, 34 new deaths raised the overall fatalities to 1,197 while recoveries rose to 18,314. Nationwide, there are currently more than 34,000 active cases of COVID-19.

Officials have so far conducted 490,908 tests, including 7,252 done on Monday.
Recovered patients
The national database for coronavirus shows that 832 more people have recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Pakistan.
This takes Pakistan's total number of recoveries to 18,314.
