Pakistan: Rs 30 million cash found from wreckage of crashed aircraft

The investigations have found nearly Rs 30 million in cash in the wreckage of the Pakistan International Airlines' aircraft that crashed near Karachi International Airport and killed 99 people on board.
An official on Thursday said that probe and rescue officials have found currencies of various countries and denominations worth around Rs 30 million from the wreckage.

"An investigation has been ordered into how such a huge amount of cash got through airport security and baggage scanners and found its way into the ill-fated flight," reported PTI quoting the official.
He added that the said amount was recovered from only two bags.
A government official on Thursday said that 47 bodies had been identified and 43 others were sent for burial.
As many as 97 people including the crew died in what is seen as one of the worst aviation disasters in Pakistan's history.
Flight PK-8303, which took off from Lahore for Karachi crashed in a residential area near the international airport on Friday, with only two flyers miraculously surviving the crash.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said on Thursday that the preliminary report of the plane crash would be presented before the parliament on June 22.
