This is not the first incident of violence against Hindu business community in Balochistan province

According to reports, a businessman and his son were shot dead in Balochistan province of Pakistan. The incident happened during a robbery bid yesterday.

The victims, Jay Pal Das and his son Girish Nath, were believed to be Hindus. They were shot dead by unidentified assailants near a cement factory.

As per reports, the father-son duo was killed as they resisted the robbery bid.

"An investigation team has been assigned the task to nab the culprits and very soon they will be in police custody," Lasbela Senior Superintendent of Police Muhammad Hashim said.

"Strict security measures have been adopted in residential areas of the Hindu community as it is our responsibility to make sure of your safety as well as of all others," he added.

This is not the first incident of violence against Hindu business community in Balochistan province. The community has often faced violence in the past perpetrated by criminal groups.
