A suicide bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan killed about 40 people on Thursday.
Several were reported injured after multiple explosions occurred near a Shiite cultural centre.
The Islamic State group has now claimed responsibility for the bombing.
The extremist group released a statement confirming the same on its propaganda outlet, Amaq.
