With<a href="http://www.wionews.com/south-asia/sacked-delhi-minister-kapil-mishra-alleges-kejriwal-took-rs-2-crore-bribe-aap-denies-charges-15301">&nbsp;new allegations of corruption</a> against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and leader of the Rashtriya Janta Dal party <a href="http://www.wionews.com/south-asia/fodder-scam-setback-for-lalu-as-supreme-court-orders-fresh-trial-against-him-15328">Lalu Prasad Yadav</a>, the public is losing trust in our political leaders.

It should come as no surprise though. The political watchdog Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) <a href="http://adrindia.org/research-and-report/election-watch/lok-sabha/2014/lok-sabha-2014-winners-analysis-criminal-and-finan">found in 2014</a> that a third of the members (185) in the current Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian parliament, faced criminal cases. It means 21% of Lok Sabha members&nbsp;(MPs) , or one in five, faced &#39;serious&#39; cases relating to murder, kidnapping, crimes against women etc.
