Pakistan Prime Minister-elect and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief, Imran Khan will live in chief minister's annex in Punjab House in Islamabad on weekdays and in weekends he will stay in his private home in Banigala news agency Press Trust of India reported citing a senior party official.

Khan had in his first speech after winning the recent election said he would not live in Prime Minister House. He had said he would be ashamed to live in such a big house when there was so much poverty in the country.

A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Naeemul Haq was quoted saying, "Khan will live in the chief minister's annex in Punjab House after being sworn-in as prime minister."

"Punjab House is in every way an appropriate place for Khan sahib to live in," said Haq, adding that Punjab House was not too far from the Prime Minister's Office either.

Haq also said that he had many discussions with security agencies and is confident about the arrangements. Security has already been deployed around Khan's Banigala residence, including personnel of Islamabad traffic police and Rangers.

Khan had said Prime Minister House would be turned into an educational institution.

Earlier there were reports that he will stay in the speakers' house.

News reports said Khan had wanted to continue living in his personal Banigala home but police said they would not be able to provide it foolproof security.

Khan will be sworn in on either August 14 or 15 as the date has not been finalised at President's House in Islamabad. The guest list is also yet to be finalised.
