Pakistan prime minister-elect will live in Speaker House in Ministers' Enclave in Islamabad, Pakistani news reports have said.

Khan had in his first speech after winning the recent election said he would not live in Prime Minister House. He had said he would be ashamed to live in such a big house when there was so much poverty in the country.

Khan had said Prime Minister House would be turned into an educational institution.

News reports said several options in Ministers' Enclave were suggested to Khan, before he finally picked on Speaker House.

News reports said Khan had wanted to continue living in his personal Banigala home but police said they would not be able to provide it foolproof security.

The reports however also quoted opposition leaders as saying Khan could not live in Speaker House since, well, only speakers were allowed to live there. And that he must continue to live in Prime Minister House.

Khan will be sworn in on August 11 at President's House in Islamabad.

Khan had, in another leaf taken from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's book, wanted to take his oath in an open area. But that wish was also declined with the police again saying they would not be able to provide him foolproof security.
