In a big setback for RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Supreme Court ordered that he will face trial in all the cases related to the multi-crore fodder scam.

The court also ordered that the trial  should be completed in nine months.

The Supreme Court allowed a CBI plea opposing dropping of charges against him and set aside the Jharkhand High Court order which stayed trial against him and others after their conviction in one of the cases.

The apex court pulled up the CBI for delay in filing the plea against the Jharkhand high court order.

It also observed that the Jkharkhand High Court should have been consistent in its findings and given different views on different sets of accused in a case.
