Fire at Pakistan law ministry building, important documents burnt

A major fire erupted in the storeroom of Pakistan's Ministry of Law and Justice building on Tuesday.

No casualty has been reported so far but several important documents for burn in the fire.

The cause of the fire is known to be an electrical short-circuit.

Pakistan's Ministry of Law and Justice building also houses a project office of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to initial reports, a record of Pakistani Rupees 50 billion worth CPEC project was also got burnt in the fire. 

However, media reports say that authorities are still not sure about what documents got destroyed in a fire.

In September also fire broke out at a building in the Islamabad in which two people died and five got injured.
