Story highlights

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has failed Nepal, in his response to the pandemic and his conduct of foreign policy but Oli thinks he has secured his position by altering Nepal's map.

Number of Cases of deadly coronavirus in Nepal continue to rise amid people’s protests against the government’s response.

But the Himalayan country is moving ahead with a new map which shows Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipulekh — areas also claimed by India — within its borders.

‘Enough is Enough!’ has been the slogan of Nepal's youth-led protests in various parts of the country held in the past few days.

Enough is enough -- is their message to the Oli govt. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has failed Nepal, in his response to the pandemic and his conduct of foreign policy but Oli thinks he has secured his position by altering Nepal's map.

"India is our neighbouring nation and it would be good if both remain united," said a Kathmandu resident, Sushil Magar.

The people of Nepal have chosen sides and they do not want to burn bridges with India. They do not agree with the Oli govt's map fixing, neither do their support the plot's mastermind. Leave alone its endorsement of violence and sour ties.

There are protests outside the Chinese embassy. War is a crime, the demonstrators say ‘China-- stop war, promote peace'. Like the rest of the world--- the people of Nepal too have seen through the dragon's provocation at the Galwan valley.

Protestors are water-cannoned, some of them--- even arrested. This is the Nepal leadership taking a page from the playbook of the Chinese communist party. Using state forces to quell protests.

Oli does not even acknowledge the healthcare crisis his govt is busy blaming India for the virus from China. The Nepali govt says India is responsible for the rising cases of covid-19 in Nepal.

Nepal today finds itself on the verge of a catastrophic explosion in the number of COVID-19 cases and with his over-the-top statements and his unwillingness to listen to dissenting voices, Oli seems intent on self-sabotage.
