Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the loss of lives and injuries in the US-Bangla Airlines plane crash that claimed at least 50 lives. 

The prime minister, who is currently in Singapore on an official visit for four days, prayed for the peace of the departed souls and for the quick recovery of the injured passengers.

She also prayed expressed her sympathies to the bereaved families.

An aircraft of US-Bangla Airlines with 71 people on Board, crashed at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Nepal capital Kathmandu today.

Seventeen people have been rescued so far.
