World Cup: Players to watch out for in Australia vs England semi-final clash

Hosts England are set to take on defending champions Australia in the semi-final 2 of the World Cup 2019 at Birmingham on Thursday, July 11

David Warner, the swashbuckling Australian opener has been in top form in the World Cup so far.

So far, he is placed second in the highest run-getters list at this year's World Cup. 

The left-hander has scored 638 runs in nine matches so far and has hit three centuries. 

Warner was the top performer in Australia's last group-stage match against South Africa, scoring 122 runs. 

Bairstow and Jason Roy continued to torment the opposition bowling attack.

Bairstow has so far scored 462 runs with 2 centuries at an average of 51.33. 

Bairstow has stood up and delivered for England as Roy had been out for a couple of matches due to injury.

The Australian captain has been in good form scoring runs at the top with David Warner. 

Finch has so far scored 507 runs with two centuries at an average of 56.33.

Credit for Australia's comeback must go to their skipper Finch who rallied his troops to their recent victories in this World Cup.

Jason Roy pulled out of IPL 2020 as he wanted to work on his fitness and take this time to come as a better player. Roy was bought by Delhi Capitals but has been struggling due to a side strain after the restart. 

The left arm pacer has so far performed brilliantly so far in the World Cup.

Behrendorff can be a nightmare to face with the new ball and lately, he has been shining in the all-star Australian bowling line-up.

He has picked nine wickets in the four matches he has played in the World Cup.

Behrendorff would be the bowler to fear for the England batsmen as he picked up five wickets when they faced each other last time during the group-stage match.

Mark Wood has taken 16 wickets in 12 matches so far in this World Cup. 

The 29-year-old would look to deliver his best spell against the mighty Australian batting order at Birmingham.
