World Cup final: Players to watch out for in England vs New Zealand clash

These players will play an important roles for their respective teams in the final of Cricket World Cup 2019

England skipper Eoin Morgan has played a huge role in lifting the team to a number one position in the One-Day International format after the embarrassing ouster from the 2015 World Cup in the group stage. 

In the final against New Zealand, England will enter the ground bidding to win the title for the first time and Morgan is expected to play an important role in the match. 

"It means a huge amount to me and everyone in the dressing room. It`s a combination of four years of hard work, dedication and it presents a huge opportunity to win the World Cup. We have had huge backing throughout the tournament," Morgan told reporters at the pre-match conference. 

New Zealand captain skipper Kane Williamson will leave no stone unturned to win the title. He was part of the Brendon McCullum-led squad who suffered a heavy defeat in the 2015 final against Australia. 

The 28-year-old's level-headed leadership, along with his prolific form with the bat, have been instrumental in New Zealand's second straight run to the final. 

"I try not to get too caught up in the results and hopefully not too emotional about just the outcome and maybe look at it with a bit more reason...and then try and move on from that as quickly as possible," said Williamson. 

Joe Root, who plays at number three spot, is another batsman in the England team to watch out for. 

So far in the tournament, he has scored 549 runs in 10 matches he played. Against New Zealand, Root is England's leading run-scorer in ODIs with 925 runs. 

He will play an important role in the final match.  

In the semi-final match, pacer Trent Boult bowled superbly and kept the pressure and picking up the vital wicket of India skipper Virat Kohli. He also removed dangerman Ravindra Jadeja, whose 77 off 59 balls had threatened to thwart the Kiwis. 
 
It is expected that he will again play a vital role in the final match. So far in the tournament, he has taken 17 wickets. 

England star opener Jason Roy has been exceptionally brilliant for the team. 

Despite missing three group games due to a hamstring injury, Roy has dominated the tournament with his stunning batting skills after his return. 

England have won all three of their matches comfortably since his return to the side and he averages an impressive 71 at the tournament. 

Matt Henry's performance against India in the semi-final was exceptionally good. He destroyed India's illustrious top order and was the key man in New Zealand's 18-run win. 

Along with Boult, he is one of the bowlers in New Zealand team to watch out for.

In the middle batting order, Ross Taylor's contribution to the New Zealand team is unmatchable. 

He has been Williamson's partner on several occasions and will be crucial in the final match also.

In the semi-final against India, he put on 65 runs with Williamson for the third wicket and then took on the challenge alone, eventually top-scoring with 74 after the skipper's departure for 67.

Those runs proved priceless as New Zealand's bowlers took over with a scintillating display that caught India completely off-guard.
