World Cup 2019: Key players to watch out for in Australia vs Afghanistan clash

Australia will start their title defence against Afghanistan on June 1 at Bristol's County Ground

Maxwell, the big-hitting all-rounder is the backbone for Australia lower batting order.

With his ability to contain the batsman and simultaneously pick wickets, he will be tough for the batsmen to hit out of the park in the World Cup.

Zampa who is making his debut at the World Cup will be Australia's most destructive bowler. 

Having taken 60 wickets in 44 matches, Zampa has also been performing well in the practice matches leading up to the World Cup. 

Hazratullah Zazai, who opens the innings for Afghanistan, scored a blazing 28-ball 49 against Pakistan in the warm-up game against Pakistan. 

Zazai possesses the ability to give a quick start to Afghanistan, hitting runs at a strike rate of 92.89. 

Smith had a successful run at the warm-up game against England, where he hit a century.

The former Australian captain will look to carry forward his form in the opening game for Australia this World Cup.

Smith has made 3431 runs in 118 matches he has played for Australia.
