Nine years ago on April 2, 2011, India lifted the ICC World Cup 2011 by defeating Sri Lanka by six wickets in the final at the monumental Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The win in the summit clash brought an end to a 28-year-old for millions of Indian cricket fans with the Indian squad etching their names in the history books in golden letters.
