The weirdest, wildest & craziest looks from the 2021 Met Gala

The annual Met Gala event is always a place where celebrities can experiment with fashion and carry it out with full confidence. This year too, we saw some of the weirdest, wildest and bizarre looks on the red carpet.

From Horse headdress to all-black look, check out some looks from fashion's biggest night.

Kim Petras

One of the weirdest and wildest outfits from the night. Kim Petras arrived on the Met Gala red carpet for the first time as a horse girl.  Petras wore a Collina Strada dress featuring a 3D horse head bustier and a dramatic skirt. She paired her look with a lengthy braided ponytail.

Hunter Schafer 

Hunter Schafer showed off their horror style at the 2021 Met Gala! Hunter wore a silver Prada set that featured a halter top and matching skirt, pairing the look with strappy black heels, white contacts and a silver forehead piece.

Grimes

Grimes made an otherworldly appearance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala. The Canadian singer arrived wearing a sheer off white gown covered in silver zig-zag accents, and a flowing train. 

Talking about her unique accessories, she went with a silver metallic face mask — plus drop earrings and a big sword.

Pete Davidson

Comedian-actor Pete Davidson's Met Gala 2021 style was one of the most talked topics about celebrities at this year’s event.

SNL star turned up in a black dress, no it was a suit (We don't know what it was). Davidson stepped out in a plain black dress with a white overcoat. He teamed up his look with a bowtie and combat boots.

Maisie William

Maisie William took the Met Gala fashion game seriously. The 'Game of Thrones' actor made one heck of a fashion statement at her first-ever Met Gala, where she arrived in a dark look designed by her boyfriend, Reuben Selby. The villainous outfit featured a bodysuit, bustle on one shoulder, a long train and sheer stirrup tights. The actress look was inspired by 'The Matrix' film franchise.

Lorde

Lorde Showed off some skin in a unique ensemble with a creative headpiece. The singer’s very revealing ensemble had a light white jacket that had colourful beads etched on it with a skirt and a short train attached to it, but Lorde's headpiece grabbed the limelight.

Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X, 22, the gay Black musician behind hit song 'Old Town Road', wowed at the Met Gala evening in not one, not two but three head-turning looks, styled by Hodo Musa. He made a  grand entrance wearing a regal gold velvety cloak with a long train and then taking it off and coming out wearing a gold suit of armour that he took off to reveal a crystal-inspired bodysuit.

'Schitt's Creek' actor Dan Levy opted for a bold, puff-sleeved creation featuring an artwork on the front that showed two men kissing.

Whoopi Goldberg look was bizarre. Actress and television personality stepped out in a purple ruffled gown by Valentino, that had six layers and all matched with a green tunic-style dress.
