Solar Eclipse 2021: When, Where, and how to watch last eclipse of year

Solar eclipse refers to the phenomenon of the moon passing between the Sun and the Earth. The image of the sun gets partially obscured for viewers during the process.

The last solar eclipse of the year 2021 will be visible today. Let's take look at the details:

The total solar eclipse will be not be visible in India. Only people living in Antarctica will be able to see it.

However, several parts of South Australia, South Africa, South America, the Pacific, the Atlantic, the Indian Ocean, and Antarctica will see a partial eclipse.

The total solar eclipse will last for four hours. It will begin at 12:30 PM (IST) and end at 1:03 (IST). 

The first partial solar sclipse will begin at 10:59am IST and will last till 12:30pm IST and second one will be from 1:33 pm to 3:07 pm.
