Six players to watch out for in opening clash between England and South Africa of Cricket World Cup 2019

Important players to watch out for in the inaugural match between South Africa and England in the Cricket World Cup 2019, which is scheduled to kick off from May 30

Faf, the South African captain blazed to 88 off 69 balls in their second practice game ahead of the opening match of the World Cup. 

Faf du Plessis is one of the best number four batsmen in the world and his middle order stints will help the Proteas pose big totals in the World Cup. 

England opener Jason Roy is currently in a magnificent form and he is definitely a player to watch out for not only in the first match but in the entire tournament. 

In the warm-up match against Afghanistan, Roy scored an unbeaten 89 runs and his knock included 11 fours and four sixes. 

In the recently concluded England-Pakistan ODI series, Roy stood out as he was named man of the series. He scored a total of 277 runs with a strike rate of 114.46. 

When it comes to experience, Amla will play a big role in the World Cup for South Africa. 

Amla has been quoted saying, he's hungrier than ever for runs and his batting in the warm-up games has proven his hunger. 

Hashim Amla is still not a certainty in the South African playing XI but the senior opener has made a case for himself with successive fifties in the warm-up games ahead of World Cup opener. 

Amla, one of South Africa's greatest Test match players, scored 65 and 51 not out respectively in the two warm-up games against Sri Lanka and West Indies (rain affected) and will be keen to add to his tally of 27 ODI hundreds. 

However, with young Aiden Markram in the side, there is competition as to who would open with Quinton de Kock. 

In the presence of young guns, England is also banking on the experienced players in the upcoming World Cup and counting on that, Joe Root will be a key man in their squad. 

England have climbed to the top of the ODI rankings since their humiliating group-stage exit at the 2015 World Cup and are threatening the smash the 500-run barrier, once considered all but impossible in 50 overs. 

Rabada has 106 wickets since the 2015 World Cup, ranking him second among seamers. 

With his consistent pace and wicket taking tendency, Rabada will be South Africa's main weapon for demolishing the opponents batting order. 

Pacer Jofra Archer is termed as the trump card for England in the Cricket World Cup 2019 as the hosts bid to win their maiden Cup. 

Archer has impressed in the Indian Premier League, was included in England's 15-man squad for the tournament despite having played just three one-day internationals. 

The 24-year-old Sussex quick, capable of bowling at 90 miles-an-hour (145 kmh), celebrated his inclusion by setting his sights on dismissing Indian skipper Virat Kohli, long one of the world's leading batsmen, during the competition.
