Reboots, classic shows, new releases: Here's everything coming to Paramount+

Days before the Paramount+ official launch, the studio announced an exciting list of new shows and releases including reboots of classic movies and beloved old shows. From 'Mission Impossible 7' release, 'Star Trek universe, to 'Frasier' reboot, here is the list of everything coming to the streamer. 

Big budget movie to release

Paramount+ will become the house of many hit movies-- Tom Cruise's most awaited movie 'Mission: Impossible 7' and Emily Blunt's 'A Quiet Place 2' will be released on the streaming platform just 45 days after they hit theatres.

The 25th film in the James Bond franchise, 'No Time To Die' will also stream on the platform after its theatrical release. Joining the big list are also titles like 'House of Gucci', 'Creed III', 'Top Gun: Maverick', 'Paw Petrol' and more.

Paramount+ live action

The two hit Nickelodeon shows 'Dora the Explorer' and 'The Fairly OddParents' are getting a live-action treatment. The 'Fairly Oddparents' TV movie starred Drake Bell in the role of Timmy and 'Dora the Explorer' movie starred Isabela Mercad in the title role.

Star Trek universe

Paramount Plus is getting another Star Trek show. The company announced 'Star Trek: Prodigy', the animated kid-friendly spinoff of the iconic franchise. The show was originally set to debut on Nickelodeon, but it will now air all ten episodes of its first season on Paramount Plus but will be heading over to the cable channel later.

The new show joins the entire Star Trek Universe, which will now be available to stream on Paramount+,  including 'Star Trek Discovery', 'Star Trek: Picard', the animated 'Star Trek: Lower Decks', they already announced 'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds'.

New movie releases

Paramount+ has some exciting horror and supernatural films coming to the platform.  The studio will release three to four movies on the streamer each year. The first three movies that are releasing on the service are Joey King and Kyle Allen starrer,  'The In Between', the new movie in the 'Paranormal Activity' franchise, and 'Pet Sematary' movies.

Reboots based on classic movies

Paramount+ is bringing back some old favourites in a new way, from the studio's library of classic films for new platform, including 1970 'Love Story', 'The Italian Job', 'Fatal Attraction' and more will join the previously announced series inspired by 'Flashdance' 'Grease' and 'The Godfather'.

Reboots of comedy shows

The streamer is also working on the reboots of some classic comedy shows, including 'Frasier', for the show Kelsey Grammer will be reprising his role as Frasier Crane. 'Inside Amy Schumer', 'Reno 911', 'Beavis and Butt-head', 'Workaholics', 'Younger' are among the reboots.

Kids friendly

The Paramount is also bringing to its fold a series of shows and series for the kids from The Spongebob Movie: 'Sponge on the Run' to spinoff series 'Kamp Koral' and 'The Rugrats'. In addition to it, Nickelodeon is launching Avatar Studios to create a whole universe for 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'.

Reality shows

In the streaming platform, we have a number of reality shows heading for the giant. From 'The Weekly Show with Trevor Noah', 'The Late Late Show with James Corden',  'The Challenge: All Stars' to 'RuPaul’s Drag Race' and 'Road Rules' and many more.

Drama shows

The studio is bringing some hit drama series that you can watch from March 4 onwards and also working on spinoff series and game adaptation.

From 'Halo' a live-action adaptation of the popular video game of the same name in works. Apart from it, 'Yellowstone franchise', 'Land Man', 'Lioness' and much more drama shows you can watch on the streaming giant.
