Putin's 'personal' holiday home famously called 'dacha Putin' reportedly cost $1 billion to the Russian exchequer.

President Putin is set to host PM Modi in his "mansion" at Sochi.However, Modi is not the first person to visit the marvellous palace of the Russian president. There have been other world leaders who have visited the palace earlier.

A marble tile floor, a big flat-screen TV and empty bookshelves lent the room a nouveau-riche air, reports say.The gilded taps in the bathroom are reportedly labeled “hot” and “cold” in English, perhaps explaining why they’d been installed in the reverse positions also an indication that it would be used extensively by world leaders.

It has been claimed the "dacha" was built for Putin's "personal use" and that construction began during his first Presidency. Reports claim about the project, which allegedly made improper use of state resources, were made by Sergei Kolesnikov.
