PM Modi in Ladakh : A glance at the visit meant to review situation, boost troop morale

Saluting the Indian troops posted in Ladakh and taking a dig at India's "enemies", Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ladakh today. PM Modi met soldiers who were injured in the violent face-off with China last month and other personnel.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ladakh early on Friday and was accompanied by Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and Army chief MM Naravane.

After the prime minister reached Ladakh, he was given an update on the ongoing situation. Last month, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred in Ladakh after a violent face-off with Chinese troops.  

PM Modi also met the soldiers, who were injured last month and other troops who are deployed in the area. 

Saluting the valour of the Indian soldiers, PM Modi in an address told them"your courage is higher than the mountains where you are posted".
