Salman Khan back with 'Radhe'; here's a look at the actor's previous festive hits

For almost nearly a decade, Salman Khan has made sure to treat his fans with a new film every year on Eid. However, the actor missed out on last year's date, due to lockdown. This year, Khan is again back with 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai', but this time at the film doesn't release in theatres but on OTT and video on demand platforms. 

Let's take a look at other Salman Eid releases over the years. 

Bajrangi Bhaijaan

One of Salman Khan's best films in recent years, helmed by Kabir Khan, 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' was released in 2015 and featured Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Harshali Malhotra along side Khan in key roles. The film broke all the box office records and collected over Rs 900 crore worldwide.

Ek Tha Tiger

This Kabir Khan directorial starring Katrina Kaif, and Salman Khan in lead roles, 'Ek Tha Tiger' was a winner at the box office. It broke weekend records and collected over Rs 180 crore and was also a high grosser internationally.

Sultan

A typical Indian sports drama movi of a wrestler called Sultan, the movie was a box office hit back when it released on Eid in 2016 and grossed almost Rs 206 crore in its first weekend and becomes the first Indian film to do so.

Bharat

Ali Abbas Zafar directorial was based on the 2014 South Korean film 'Ode to My Father'. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer 'Bharat' was one of the top five grossing films of 2019, as the movie collected over Rs 251.27 crore at the box office.

Kick

Salman Khan comedy film which was an official remake of the 2009 Telugu film of the same name. The film stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui along with Khan. The movie gained almost Rs 233 crore at the box office.

Bodyguard

'Bodyguard' a comedy romantic drama, the movie was a remake 2010 Mollywood film of the same name as it features Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. The movie went on to become the highest opening day grosser as well as the biggest grosser ever for a single day up until then.

Wanted

Prabhu Deva directorial 'Wanted' was marked as one of the Salman Khan's comeback film after delivering back to back flops like 'Yuvvraaj', 'God Tussi Great Ho', 'Hello', 'Heroes'. The film showed Khan in the all-new avatar and was good grosser back then.

Dabangg

'Dabangg' gave us Salman Khan's iconic character Chulbul Robinhood Pandey. Abhinav Kashyap directorial collected over Rs 219 crore at the box office and was one of the highest opener of all time across India that year.

Radhe Salman

Salman Khan returned with his fierce look once again this Eid with 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai'. The Prabhu Deva directorial released on  DTH services, OTT platform on Zee Plex and in selected theatres on May 13.
